안녕하세요, 휴먼아시아 하반기 인턴으로 활동하게 된 이예나입니다.
인권 탄압과 침해는 무관심에서 비롯됩니다.
관심을 가지고 타인을 보려 노력하면 편견과 배제 없는 세상을 만들 수 있다고 생각합니다.
우리 모두는 편견에서 완전히 자유로울 수 없기 때문에 항상 배우고 알아가려는 노력이 필요할 것입니다.
휴먼아시아에서 인턴으로 일하면서 제가 가지고 있는 편견 역시 버리고, 인권에 대해 더 배울 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다.

안녕하세요. 2018년 하반기 인턴 한혜수입니다.
미국에서 대학생활을 하며 다양성에 대한 존중 그리고 다름에 대한 이해를 경험했습니다.
그리고 이를 통해 인권이라는 존중 받아야하는 권리가 우리들의 생활속에서 무관심 또는 다양한 이유들로 타인의 권리를 침해하고 있다는 것을 느꼈고 인권에 관심을 갖게 되었습니다.
휴먼아시아에서 인턴 생활을 통해 인권 향상에 도움을 주는 인턴이 되겠습니다.

Nice to meet you, I’m Yena Lee, an intern who will be working at Human Asia.
Human rights violations stem from indifference.
We can make a world without prejudice and exclusion if we try to pay attention to others sincerely.
Everyone cannot be free from prejudice. Thus, we all need to be awake to prejudices in ourselves and look into human rights issues.
I want to be able to learn more about human rights as well as cast away my prejudices while working as an intern in Human Asia.

Hello, I am Do Eun Kim who will be with Human Asia as an intern.
As a citizen of the world, I felt a sense of responsibility when I realized that the natural opportunity given to me was not given to everyone. I am pleased to take the first step in creating a society where everyone can dream of a quality life.
Through education, I hope to create a society in which all human rights are respected.

When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression!
평등은 사람들이 당연한 것으로 받아들이면 억압으로 간주됩니다.
한국의 대다수의 사람들은 성 차별과 인종 차별을 겪고있는 사람들의 권리를 무시하고 소수자들에게 사회의 규범에 적응하라고 말합니다.
현재 한국은 소수 민족과 공존하는 법을 힘들게 배우고 있습니다.
저는 인권 문제와의 전쟁에서 휴먼아시아와 많은 것을 배우고, 비슷한 생각을 가진 사람들과 활발하게 교류하게 될 것이 기대됩니다.
Equality is seen as oppression when people take things for granted.
The majority of people in Korea ignore the rights of people facing gender and racial discrimination.
They tell the minorities to adapt to the norms of society.
Korea is learning how to coexist with minorities in a hard way.
I hope I can learn a lot with Human Asia in battling human rights issue and meet amazing people who shares the similar idea.

국내외의 다양한 장소에서 수많은 사람들과 함께 했던 대외활동 경험들은 이러한 열정의 밑거름이 되었습니다.
세계 공동체와 함께 걷는 이 여정의 가운데서, 저는 교육개발협력을 향한 휴먼아시아의 비전에 의미있는 보탬이 되고자 합니다.
그리고 이 기회를 성장과 배움의 발판으로 삼아 저의 목표를 향해 한 발 더 다가설 것입니다.
I am a highly motivated individual with strong enthusiasm and interest in international development and human rights.
I feel very delighted to be a part of the meaningful steps that Human Asia takes towards education development cooperation.
My hope is that I contribute to promoting human rights in every possible way by fully devoting myself to achieving the goal.
